Sweeney Todd

Those who are never outdated with latest movies will not feel strange about Sweeney Todd...why? Because Sweeney Todd is actually a movie...(swt)

Yesterday after 2 lessons(one physics lecture and 1 chemistry practical - yeah! entered the science labs again!), which is around 12pm, my new friends who are sheue li, su xin, siew yan, hui yi and boon keong(i think his name is spelt so) took bus to One Utama with me...and sadly i say, i hate taking bus, really.

Waiting for the bus to come is really quite a disaster..well, i noe i have exaggerated a bit, but i had sat at the bus stop for over 20 minutes already and yet the bus hadn't come...and finally, the U82 Rapid KL bus arrived and we quickly pushed other ppl to the side to rush into the bus(well, good citizens ya XD)..and then, we had been in the bus for almost an hour.

At that moment only i realised that the bus stop at HELP main block is actually the first station, and One Utama is the last station! Alright, we waited...and of course chatted and made jokes along the way...

Finally, we arrived..then we decided to watch this Sweeney Todd movie, and what makes me feel happy is, it's 18PL! haha...from now onwards i don't have to worry anymore when i want to watch this kind of movie, because i just have to show my student card and tell the cashier, ' wei! I'm already a college student and of course i can watch this movie...sell me the ticket cheaper!' +P

When the movie was showing, i could only feel my whole body shivering...it was so cold inside the cinema! And frankly speaking, i was not really attracted to the movie...well, it's DISGUSTING but NOT SCARY at all(for me la)...it's about a barber who wants to take a revenge on a judge called Judge Turpin for his wife and daughter...the barber called himself Sweeney Todd but actually his real name is Benjamin Barker..and when he came back to London, his house, he started to revenge...he's expert in shaving man's moustache or beard, and when he's shaving he will just shave the man's head off...and then grind their meat into meat pies to be sold to people who actually ENJOY the meat pies...and accidentally, he killed his insane wife and nearly cut his daughter's throat too...

Well, i think the synopsis of the movie just goes like this. Nothing special of this movie actually, because we can always guess what's happening next since his style of killing is always the same - which is cutting man's throat and red blood oozes out. Ok, that's disgusting, and a bit of horrible. What makes the movie quite interesting is, it's quite funny, and all the characters just keep on singing sometimes instead of dialogues...those songs r not bad ya!

After watching movie, sheue li and i decided to take bus back hostel...guess what, it was raining outside! Argh, luckily i brought my umbrella out...and we both asked here and there to know where can take bus and waited and waited and waited...finally took bus back hostel(and on the way too, i just doubted whether i took the wrong bus -,-!!!)

It was already 6 something pm when i reached my hostel...what a tiring day...i regretted a bit, because i would rather go back to see choir than to take the stupid bus to One Utama...! Haih...but still what can i do since my parents don't allow me to go back to Kepong alone??!

Science labs

Today, finally, i have got the chance to step into the science labs in HELP...

The first time wearing the white lab coats was really cool...at that moment i thought i had become a doctor or a scientist...and the practical lesson for today was the biology lesson, form 2 to 4 pm.

Today we examined the human cheek cells and plant cells(onion cells) under a microscope...i was really excited because it was the very first time i used my own microscope, prepared my own slide, carried out my own experiment. But, maybe we are not really experienced enough, we always couldn't see our cells properly...don't worry, our lecturer just came and adjusted here adjusted there..and the cells were clearly visible again! Wow! What a magic hand!

2 hours of interesting time seemed to be too fast...nevermind, tomorrow i will be stepping into the science labs again...after that go to 1u with new friends to watch movie! Esp, i'm going back home tomorrow too...

Science labs in help are of course nice...because i had paid RM 750 per science subject(total RM 2250) for it! +P

A love story to share

He saw her eyes closing and her eyelids seemed too heavy to open again. Looking at her placid yet charming face, he knew he had fallen in love with her. She wasn't having a pair of beautiful big eyes, neither a well-shaped countenance and lustrous straight hair. But for him, she was the prettiest among the prettiest girls. He loved her, and he knew that. He promised to protect her forever, but he failed to do so. She was lying on the bed in a hospital ward. She had met with an accident and he was not there. He felt so guilty but what could he do? Besides loving her, what else had he done for her? He never hold her hands even when she intended to do so. He never gave her a birthday present except just wishing her at 12am in the midnight. Most importantly, he had never told her that he loved her.

He touched her fingers and lifted her right hand up. He looked at her sleeping face which seemed not going to wake up anymore, and whispered in her ear softly, 'I love you...', with tears secretly rolling down from the edges of his eyes along his cheeks...

Love, began to fill the entire spaces of the hospital ward, between two lovers who were destined to part with each other and suffer in the end of the story.

**erm...how you think about this story? I know it's not really interesting and romantic...but at least this is my first masterpiece of love story(haha! so much more to be improved! =P) actually, i wrote this story last saturday when i was waiting for the undang test(had been waiting for 7 to 8 hours huh...stupid stupid stupid! wasted my precious time), and finally i passed...46/50...considered ok i suppose...going for the amali theory course tomorrow(hope i dont have to wait for so long anymore tomorrow) +)

College has lotsa fun! =)

A-levels classes were commenced this monday, 7 of january. And this makes me realise how fun the college life is.

I get to know many great friends. This is partly because of the small-class-system carried out by HELP, where we can just make friends with all the classmates so easily, since all of them are so friendly and too eager to make new friends like me! ^^

Also, i know some new friends in hostel. They come from different states of Peninsular Malaysia, and they are really open in making friends. One of the guys is so so humorous, and often makes his listeners laugh and laugh and laugh! kaka...

Lecturers also make our college life fun and exciting and memorable. They are excellent, dedicated, funny(always like to tell jokes), helpful, experienced and considerate. Since each lecture class has only up to 20+ to 30 students(and we do not need tutorials at all), we have a considerable chance to have interactions with lecturers. This is just the same thing like when we were in primary school and secondary school, when teachers taught us, guided us and helped us fully. The lecturers always encourage us to ask questions, motivate us to be active in classes, and inspire us to aim for results with flying colours. They are absolutely good in teaching, and i believe i can score well in A-levels with their assistance and guidance.

Of course, the main thing that makes up the fun of college life is, i don't have to wear the boring uniform to school anymore. Having a chance to throw away my white shirts and blue pinafores lets me have a big big relief(phew...haha), especially i need not to be binded by strict rules and regulations anymore, such as nails must not be too long(in which i always like to keep it long and had been caught for several times), long hair must be tied(i love to put my hair down instead of tying it), fringe must be above eyebrow(but i'm lazy to cut wor), necklaces and bracelets are not allowed(i believe girls can't live without them) , every monday must wear tie(i really really totally detest and loathe wearing tie around my neck, it's like being throttled!)etc., and they all now seem extremely annoying and not valuable. In HELP, in college, we are free in wearing what you want, and luckily, the girls in HELP normally won't misuse this freedom to wear XXX which will be quite an eyesore. I can now dress myself up beautifully, no more worries of being pointed by so-called blue shirt people(no offence here) and disciplinary teachers. Every college student shares the same status, as there are no prefects(sorry of that to my friends who were or are prefects), and the same purpose of studying and enjoying freedom in college life!

New friends(and old friends too, many smkbians study in help, that's a good thing to say!), lecturers, freedom and activities will help me ace college life with ease. Really, i love the study life in college! =) you too if you're now studying or going to study in colleges, enjoy your college life to the fullest!!!

Orientation days at HELP

I have to say, orientation days are just so tiring.

1st day, which is yesterday, i met jia ern, pei yi, kim houng, jing hui and brian, and suprisingly saw jin sheng and sheena there. So far so good. We are schoolmates again.

After registration, we went to conference hall, and so stupid we just could see the lcd screen but not the real person. In fact, those important people were at the other side, the theatre which is besides the conference hall. Because of the large amount of students coming for A-levels orientation, one threatre is just not enough to fit so many students. As the result, we are 'sacrified' in the conference hall.

Lectures and talks began then...talks and talks and talks...quite boring if be frank. After that, campus tour. Campus tour really made us feel exhausted. After walking for a distance at the main campus, we took the shuttle bus to KPD building(which consists of KPD A, KPD D - our science labs, and KPD E), and the walked again. After reaching each building, walked up and down the stairs...then walked to Wisma HELP which is our department - Department of A-levels(finally reached our place ya), took the lift, visited here and there, and walked down stairs, looked into the classrooms, down stairs again, looked here and there again..

Finally the tour came to an end. We walked back again to the place where the bus dropped us earlier, waited for the bus, and then got up and eventually reached the main campus...those who had not gone for the campus tour with us may feel complicated and blurred now, but it's true that HELP buildings are scattered here and there..no wonder HELP students look so thin...they have to walk and take bus every morning to their classes and lectures..good exercise in the morning...lol...not funny...

During the tour, i could notice that everybody's face showed an 'excitement'(actually is tiredness, hunger, and the HOTNESS of the sun...)we sweated so much when we walked, and we felt like losing most of our body energy...too tired...(esp i had to walk to my hostel again..)

The next day, which is today, is our last day of orientation. Today is relaxed a bit, when we just had to sit in the theatre and listened to the briefings of A-level subjects. After that, we 'accidentally' met weng hoong, jiun shyan and ooi leong who came to seek for advices...then, we all together with min hui, beeng yoong, kelly, james etc who are studying foudation went to mamak stall and ate...then suggested to visit my hostel...but they were blocked by the guard...cuz there are boys(boys cannot enter girl's hostel), and too many people...haha...

anyway, wish my college be an exciting one. Good luck everybody! ^^

Happy New Year 2008!!

Time really flies. In a split of second, year 2007 has become a past, and year 2008 has already approached...

Flashing back, many things had happened in the year of 2007. In 2007, i have 'finally' graduated from SMK Kepong Baru, left my dear friends, and meanwhile, stepping into a whole new world.

2 days later, i will be entering the life of college, what will it be? No one knows, it's just an unknown.

In Chinese, 8 represents 发'fa', means prosperity, wealth, and getting fat...haha...so year 2008 will be a 'fa' year!

Anyway, i am welcoming year 2008 with happy yet placid mind. Wish everybody be healthy, wish everybody a happy new year 2008! =)
