Emo piece, when I was too emo at that crucial moment

~Written at a starless friday night when i was all alone~

I'm trying to cheer myself up. Desperately trying. VERY HARD.

I wonder what had exactly happened to me. Why? Why do these few days seem dull to me, why must things change, why must I adapt myself into something, and not something adapt itself into me?!

A few months back, we were just like strangers, not knowing each other, and not daring to talk more about yourself. Peoples say time washes away everything but why, why this thing does not happen to me; why when time passes by, I feel even more estranged, even more stray to them?

I always love to look at the clock and think, and think whether I could wind back the clock, turn the time back to when I was still a little girl, still an innocent one, inexperienced and unknowledgeable, but were protected by everything, and away from every cruelty and reality of the nowaday society. Today, I met my little cousin. He is only 10 months old, looking so cute and so cheerful. He loves to smile when he looks at me, and the smile was so bright, and so real.

I smiled back at him, and my whole body was warmed up by something called LOVE. Hey, he's just a little infant, who still has to cry to express his own language, and still doesn't know how to totter without people's guidance. But he does have such powerful charm that mesmerises me. For the first time, I saw a true angelic smile.

No wonder peoples love to imagine babies as flying angels with wings growing behind and a glowing star sticks held in little flappy hands. They are pure, and never contaminated. They are sincere, and never fake. They smile when they really mean it; and they cry when they are really upset.

But do look at the peoples around you. Had you ever believed them truly? If you had, had you ever been hurt because you believed too much? Adults do smile but the smile always doesn't mean a smile. There're malicious smiles, pretended smiles, bitter smiles, smug smiles, haughty smiles, and even unfathomable smiles. When a person smiles at you, you may have tot hink, why does he smile at me? Does he have any purpose? What he wants? Does he really mean it? What is he actually thinking in his heart?

Why do we have to be like that, so paranoid, and so trapped by own values? Because the world has changed as the world evolves, peoples have changed as they grow up, you have changed as you develop into what you are.

Can I go back to the time of 1 year ago? When I was happy with everybody I know, and when I was never alone whenever I was. Can I have the time again, when I could always search surreptitiously for the guy I used to love so much, even just a peek would make my heart throb so hard; and when my friends embraced me with all kinds of love and true friendships; and when they loved to shout at me, 'I LOVE YOU!!"???

Time flees and leaves, and I'm still here, leading a lifeless life with hopes that dare not to be wished and expected. I'm learning, but I don't want to grow up. NO.

Can I always be a small kid, as I don't have to worry about anything, and just be happy forever?

Here are the presents i received from friends, and it had been so sweet of them.

1st present from Ky. It's a cup. Don't ask me why i didn't take the whole picture of it. I took, but it just couldn't be transferred from my phone to the laptop. *,*

A 'bling bling' (as commented by my friend) bag from a whole bunch of my classmates. I'm now carrying it everyday to school!

The last-but-not-the-least present, a penguin soft toy from wei jin, adrian and scott. It's so cute and cuddly that i didn't even mind when wei jin said it looks like me..!! (well, i'm as cute as the penguin! haha) Anyway, i saw this during an outing in One Utama yesterday, and in fact wei jin bought it from the same shop in the same place. LOLZ!

I'm recently quite busy with lots of things, although you guys who have added me in msn see me online everyday.

What sort of things i'm busy with? Well, the list goes like this :

1. UN day. Yeah, another event again by United Nations. This time, it's a race. A RACE.
2. Secretary jobs. I wonder whether i still have to deal with it in the following meetings.
3. Homework. You can often see this word in my blog, because i'm trying to keep on reminding me that, i still haven't finished my homework.
4. UN meetings. It's like having no end. OMG. Can i get out of this endless eddy?
5. Tests and MOCK EXAMS. Speechless here, because i'm getting annoyed and depressed by them.
6. Studies. I would better start studying now. Oh no. I SHOULD HAVE STARTED STUDYING A LONG TIME AGO!
7. Acappella. Heard from my choir juniors that the acappella group is starting soon. Feeling excited about it, and hoping that it doesn't clash with my 'kind-of-jam-packed' schedule.
8. Preparations of UN day. And of course, it's a headache again.
9. Preparations for next SAT exam. I've never realised that my english is that bad until i try to challenge the SAT critical reading questions, and i was so overwhelmed with the profound vocabulary and 'sort-of-weird-and-idiosyncratic' sentence structures and writing styles. Is that because American English is somehow different from Britain English? Hmm..i doubt that. Alright, I ADMIT THAT MY ENGLISH IS BAD!! *sob sob*

Hey 5K fellows, do you all still remember this song? We had sung this song before for the inter-class choir singing competition held during English Fortnight. We sang this with Miss Assunta's guidance, and although we won no prizes, this song has been instilled in many of us and me. To tell the truth, i'd already memorised(alright, actually i never intended to memorise it, it just goes into my mind and is then being stored in the long-term memory without realising) every single word of the lyrics.

This song recalls a lot of my high school memories. And too, the miracle of Obama winning as the newly elected United States president.

Come to think of it, Obama can be a president, so why can't you? Well, you may not be able to be a country leader in the future, but, who knows what miracles you can achieve?

Remember, you will when you believe.

While youtube-ing, i listened to this Hero song sung by Mariah Carey.

And there's a comment which touches my heart a lot. He said,

'this makes me think of myself, because ive had to be there for myself a lot. and i realised now that i can carry on with my life with just myself :D '

Oh yeah, i agree with him so much. My life is mine, and no other people's else. You choose the path and the path has chosen you, you have no other options but to continue walking till the end of it. You have to be alone with yourself always, but no worries, because there's a hero inside your heart. Discover it, and make full use of it.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT.

But yet, i'm still so relaxed, while the lecturers keep on reminding us that,

'We still have how many months..OH NO! How many WEEKS more to go for your mock exam to come?'

Oh my gosh. It's already weeks, and not months.

Hey people out there, tell me how i can ward off my laziness and indolence~!

Let me tell you some evidences of me being lazy at home, and at college sometimes :-
1. I will go online everyday, despite the tests that will be held the next day, and the homework being accumulated.
2. I never finish my maths and statistics homework, NEVER ON TIME.
3. I only studied when the test was just around the corner(and yet, it was always already at the corner), and then gave lots of moans of regrets of not studying properly.
4. I never revise after each lesson or lecture.
5. Chemistry lectures are always like a lullaby to me, which almost lulls me to sleep in the comfortable air-conditioned classroom. (sorry chemistry lecturer, no offence here *.*)
6. I would rather watch television than to finish up my homework.
7. My heart would pound so fast when Mr Khoo approached me and gave me something like a smile on his face(sort of, and it only scares me, and reminds me of that of sardonic kind), because he might ask, 'Hey jie min, finished your homework?'

And i would just try to give him back the smile(which makes me look more like grimacing my face), and say,

'Sir, in the progress............................'

*i'm so sorry mr khoo* T.T

The list has not come to an end yet, because there's still much much MORE~!

I'm trying to be hardworking, but my efforts seem so frail to overcome my desire and mind which ask me to..

Alright, we might switch to another topic. I'd recently taken the SAT exam on 1st of november, and it was like..

Finishing up 80 chemistry questions in 1 hour,
75 physics questions in 1 hour,
and 50 mathematics level 1 questions in 1 hour!

My hands were kind of shivering at that time when i tried to rush for all questions, and there were quite some moments when my mind turned blank for a few seconds, and cold perspiration on my palms. Luckily, i managed to finish all the questions, with some answers...

Oh dear, i'm still having another SAT Reasoning Test(critical reading, writing and mathematics) in the coming December! Wishing that i can do better.. *keeping my fingers crossed*

Alright, i should go offline now. NO MORE PROCRASTINATION!!!
